Disney Costumes for Halloween – try Peter Pan or Tinkerbell by Derek Pope
I can remember hearing the story of Peter Pan read to me by my dad when I was four or 5. Likely it was both, plus long before and long after, but the memories have stuck with me over the years. It is a great story about hope, religion and belief, values that I have treasured and withheld thru my life.
Everyone looks forward to Halloween because it is a chance to be someone else?and to be creative. We need the cutest costume for our child or baby.
The envisioned top ten Halloween costumes for children this year is, ( in order from one to ten ) : frog, fairy, Elvis, monkey, lobster, pirate, soccer player, Shrek, Yoda, and butterfly. Other costumes that are always favored are baby animals, Winnie-the-Pooh, princesses, disney costumes and naturally the very classic pumpkin.
Movie characters are always well liked by the children. Boys are favoring Harry Potter, Captain Jack Sparrow, Anakin Skywalker, Batman, Spiderman, Peter Pan and Ninja Turtles. Girls like the princess costumes : Leia from Star Wars, Fiona from Shrek, Tinkerbell or any of the other Disney princesses. Animal costumes are generally a hit.
Here’s what I saw and learned.
The Peter Pan costume is green tights, a short green tunic with a zig zag hem, a brown belt holding a dagger, a green hat with a red feather and soft brown pointy shoes. Peter has bright red hair. Males and females can wear Peter Pan costumes.
He is’s firm in his resolve to remain in Neverland and never grow up. He is loyal and stands up for himself and for his sentiments.
Lessons from Peter PanPeter shows you the simplest way to stand up for what you believe in. He shows you how to be playful and clever while getting things done. He demonstrates the easy way to take pleasure in your own good deeds. He represents your need to stay forever young.
Tink wears slippers with a massive white glistening ball on the toe, has blond hair in a pony tail and has shiny, pearly wings. Tinkerbell costumes look good on babies, little girls, teens and ladies.
Disney made Captain Hook look distinguished, flamboyant and sophisticated.
Captain Hook costumes, following the Disney picture, have a pink shirt with white ruffle at the neck, burgundy pants, white knee socks and black pointy boots with a gold buckle; red sash at the waist. He carried a long silver and gold foil.
He’s well-dressed and he is a yellow belly, shocked of the ticking crocodile that bit off his left hand. Captain Hook shows us that what counts is not what you appear to be outside, but what you are within. You may gather a band of pirates around you by being a bully. But they will only stay with you because they fear you; they may never be your true pals.
He could be a true hero, a dreamer and a follower. If you are dressing as a couple, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell will certain to make a success, or you might try the Peter Pan and Captain Hook. For those inclined, there is a horny ladies’s Peter Pan costume available for this Halloween.
