How to make this costume? (angry birds)?

Any ideas of how to make those spherical heads?
Take a balloon, (preferably one that’s more sphere shaped) and paper mache around it. Then pop the balloon to make it hollow.
Or you could take a child’s bouncy ball and do the same, then once it’s dry you can sand it down and paint it. Then pop the ball or just cut down the back so you can remove the ball and have enough room to maneuver your head in.
